The ECO-VE-COMBI control and protection panels are designed to protect electric vehicle charging stations in accordance with the ITC-BT-52 directive.
The protection panel is equipped with protection against both permanent and transient surges in the electrical network.
The protection against transient surges protects against electrical discharges filtered through the network due to a thunderstorm and impacts caused by lightning or shunting of the transformers supplying the network. This protection shunts such discharge to the ground connection, preventing it from reaching the charging station. If the protection is triggered, red indicators will be displayed on the device and reconnection will be prevented. If this is the case, the transient protection cartridge must be replaced by firmly pulling it out and replacing it with a new one. The permanent protection protects against mains voltage surges above 275 V according to EN 50550, limiting the operation of the equipment and preventing voltage above this from reaching the charging station.
