The ECO-VE-COMBI control and protection panels are designed to protect electric vehicle charging stations according to the ITC-BT-52 directive.
The protection panel is equipped with protection against both permanent and transient overvoltages in the electrical network.
Protection against transient surges protects against electrical discharges filtered by the network due to an electrical storm and impacts by lightning or maneuver of the transformers that supply the network. This protection diverts said discharge to the earth connection, preventing it from reaching the charging station. If the protection is activated, red indicators will be shown on the device in addition to preventing reconnection. If so, it will be necessary to change the temporary protection cartridge by pulling it firmly and replacing it with a new one. The permanent protection protects against voltage surges in the network greater than 275 V according to the EN 50550 standard, limiting the operation of the equipment and preventing a voltage greater than this from reaching the charging station.
