Compact magnetic safety switch with associated coded magnet for non-contact detection, made of plastic with wiring length 5 meters. Magnetic sensor equipped with two independent two-pole Reed type contacts 1NO + 1NC with staggered operation driven by coded magnet and with protection LED indicator closed. The NC and NO contacts change state as soon as the magnet is at a distance of approximately 5mm from the sensor. Suitable for installation in dusty environments with IP66, IP67 degree of protection. For use with safety control units.
Coded magnetic switches have a low coding level according to EN/ISO 14119. When used in safety circuits, contacts with reed technology must always be used in conjunction with a safety control unit.
Non-contact safety switches are specifically designed for low-inertia industrial machines equipped with doors, covers or guards with inaccurate alignment. They are ideal for machines subjected to frequent washing or spraying of liquids, and for safety switches exposed to shock and vibration.They improve safety during the entire lifetime of a machine, while ensuring the safety of personnel, protect the operator by immediately stopping any dangerous movement when the distance between the switch and its magnet is greater than 5mm.
These devices have been designed in compliance with the standards currently in force EN/IEC 60947-5-1, EN/ISO 13849-1, EN/IEC 62061, EN/IEC 60947-1, EN/ISO 14119, EN/IEC 60204. With a suitable and correctly connected control system, the maximum safety level that can be achieved is: PL e according to EN/ISO 13849-1, category 4 according to EN/ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 according to EN/IEC 61508.
